Nebraska archery season a huge hit
Archery hunters take advantage of great mule deer numbers
The Nebraska archery season was a huge success at Deer Meadows Outfitters. With ample mule deer numbers to choose from, the archery season provided a lot of opportunity for experienced hunters as well as first time hunters. Our spot and stalk method of hunting is catching on and whitetail hunters are finding themselves hitting the ground pursing their game instead of sitting and waiting. This method is providing a lot of opportunities for success as well as being active all the time. Getting into 20 yards of an animal and it not even know your there is a rush as well as a major challenge for any type of hunter. When in that close a hunter may spend a few hours waiting in anticipation for the animal to make the right move. We had hunters from experienced spot and stalk to never did spot and stalk before at our step this year. The spot and stalk style hunting is proving to be a lot harder than what people thought it would be. Being mindful of the wind, the terrain, and sound makes it a real challenge for even the most experienced hunter. Thanks to all the archery crew this year as it's another successful archery season.
