Rifle Hunts South Camp
Imagine having access to 300,000 acres of prime western
Nebraska Sandhills in order to hunt for that buck of a
lifetime. Spend four days amidst herds of mule deer in
the heat of the November rut. A 2:1 guide ratio is standard
but you can request one on one hunting with a guide for
an additional $700. We will pass on the numerous 140 and
150 inch deer so we can hold out for the 160+ class bucks.
Spot and stalk is the name of the game so bring your optics
and be prepared to hoof it 2 or 3 miles a day through
the sand. We do most of our walking in the morning when
the temps start out in the teens. Normally, it is 50 to
60 degrees by noon and the wind almost always blows. Mid-afternoon
we look for a good spot for an evening sit and you will
want to have warm clothing along because when the sun
starts settling, so does the temperature. Back at camp
you will be staying in one of the two bunk houses at the
ranch. Our comfortable ranch style lodge doesn't have
a big screen or a crackling fireplace but it does offer
a hot shower and a soft bed. Hot morning and evening meals,
home cooked and much of it home grown, are definite high
points of the day. A cooler full of sandwiches, chips,
cookies and sodas rides with us in the pickup. This 4-day
hunting package for mule deer ($4400) or whitetail ($3600)
or combo where you can one of each ($5500) is due July
25 prior to the season. A $1500 deposit will hold your
spot until then. You can purchase a Nebraska deer hunting
license with a habitat stamp for around $200 by visiting
outdoornebraska.org. We have no trophy fees and we do
have a taxidermist available at $450 plus shipping delivered
to your door in six months guaranteed. See you at camp!
