Deer Meadows Outfitters Logo

In the beautiful northwest part of Nebraska, Deer Meadows offers a variety of hunts for your hunting experience. The scenic Sandhills along the wide-open meadows are a hunter's paradise. We hunt on only privately owned prime hunting ground and our goal is to give you a hunting experience that can't be matched. Back at camp, our comfortable ranch style lodge doesn't have a big screen or a crackling fireplace but it does offer home cooked meals, a hot shower,  a soft bed, and WIFI.  Being a family owned and operated business our hospitality is second to none.

Our management practices are what has made us successful and what sets us apart from other outfitters. With over 80 trail cameras being utilized we continually watch the buck movement and growth throughout the year. this in turn produces higher quality bucks and very favorable success rates for the hunter. Spot and stalk style is the preferred method, but ground blinds can be utilized on these fair chase, open country hunts.

Guides

Our guides have extensive knowledge of the deer herds and their movements. With the hunters abilities in mind we try to work with each individual to maximize their hunt experience. Year round monitoring of  the deer patterns offer you only the best opportunities. After your arrival in camp transportation will provided every step of the way. We also care for your trophy after it's done with professionally performed caping and skinning. We do our best to accommodate requests for specific guides on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Rifle Hunts

Rifle season starts mid November and runs through the main rut for Nebraska.  On our vast privately owned ranches, we keep the number of hunters to a minimum to maximize the hunting experience.  On these very rewarding hunts early reservations are recommended as these hunts book quickly. More on rifle hunts.

Bow Hunts

We run archery hunts September through October and the weather is usually warm with cool nights that time of year. With compounds, crossbows, or traditional style bows being used, spot and stalk or ground blinds can be utilized. These hunts have a very high opportunity rate at 40 yards or less. More on archery hunts.

Muzzleloader Hunts

With black powder hunts we utilize the first two weeks of December. The deer patterns that time of year are based around food sources. The temperature at this time of year is usually cold, so make sure you dress warm. Spot and stalk or ground blind hunts are available this time of year also.  More on muzzleloader hunts.

Policies

  • All processing of the deer you harvest is your own responsibility even if you are going to donate it. (Processing price varies by year and there is a small fee to have the deer caped)
  • There are no "last day deer" at Deer Meadows Outfitters. If you shoot a buck that is smaller than the guidelines, your guide will be fined $500 for a small deer harvest.
  • A wounded deer, even if it's not recovered, is considered a harvest, and your tag will be filled.
  • Any open alcoholic beverage ends that day's hunt.
  • If you are found to have any illegal substances you will be asked to leave and you will forfeit your hunt with no refund.
  • Prices do not include guide or cook gratuities, they work hard to give you the best service possible.
  • Your deposit is non-refundable. We will move the deposit forward a year if the hunter is drawn in another state or they have medical emergencies. Please contact us immediately.
  • This is fair chase hunting, not high fence, but our staff will work extremely hard to give you the hunt of a lifetime.
  • These are fully guided hunts as we don't offer any unguided or semi-guided hunts.

Nebraska is one of the Interstate Wildlife Compact States and as such if your hunting rights are revoked in any state you are not eligible to hunt in Nebraska.
